How to install a new font onto MS Word on my PC?
1) Download the TTF file 2) Open the file (click on it) 3) Click on the INSTALL button 4) Open MS Word and your new font is ready to use |
Joined / Cursive handwriting
Hand True Type font Unjoined handwriting
Ammy's Handwriting True Type font |
A useful trick:
The .doc/docx files will only show the text in handwriting if you've installed the TTF on that PC!
If you want to read or print from another computer, after you have finished editing the worksheet in MS Word, also save it as a PDF and you can use that version without having to install the font everywhere!

Note:
The fonts above are FREE and easy to install
BUT:
1) They are not the officially used handwriting fonts (although very similar to them).
2) All letters are joined in the middle
3) The official UK school fonts must be PURCHASED.
4) A font that perfectly imitates handwriting cannot simply be installed as a TTF on MS Word as it requires a software that calculates whether to join a letter to the next at the top or at the bottom or not to join it if it's at the beginning or at the end of a word.
